Families often visit on weekends or school holidays, and it makes a great half-day trip when the weather outside doesn’t cooperate. It’s especially practical for families living in or around Regensburg, Schwandorf, or the northern part of the region.

All locations offer a warm, dry environment and enough variety to keep kids playing for hours — a real lifesaver during the Bavarian winter.

There is also an indoor playground in Grafenwöhr, which you might already know. As our kids didn’t enjoy it as much, I’m not recommending it.
